How can a membership to the BBASDFL help you? 

Whether you are a lawyer new to the practice of bankruptcy, or already a seasoned veteran, the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida can help you stay connected and involved in the Southern District's bankruptcy community and its happenings. Our goal is to promote the Southern District of Florida and its bar as being on the cutting edge and to emphasize the important bankruptcy issues coming out of Florida. We are hoping to keep evolving through encouraging the involvement of our members.  

Here are some of the ways that the BBASDFL works to keep you involved:

The BBASDFL hosts an Annual Installation Dinner to introduce the membership to the new incoming President and Board. This is the most well attended event of the year. It is great networking event for all members. This event is offered at a discount to members.
Brown Bag seminars are put on by the BBASDFL to educate the bankruptcy community and its members on the latest bankruptcy topics effecting the Southern District of Florida. These lunchtime continuing education courses are offered at discount for members.
The BBASDFL hosts an Annual Retreat that is offered at a discount to members. The Retreat provides members a chance to network and get away while learning about emerging topics in commerical and business bankruptcy law from prestigous speakers and presenters.
The BBASDFL helps members stay connected all through out the year through bi-monthly happy hours that are held in each of three counties that make up the Southern District of Florida: Palm Beach, Miami Dade, and Broward County. Attendance is free to members.
Opportunities to give back to the community through Pro Bono with Put Something Back Clinics, C.A.R.E., and helping with the Pro Se Clinincs held monthly.
BBASDFL throws an Annual Holiday Party for its membership to celebrate the season and provide networking for members.
