Bankruptcy and commercial litigation attorney Adrian C. Delancy, a partner with the law firm of Markowitz, Ringel, Trusty + Hartog, P.A., has been named to the National Black Lawyers Top 100 (www.nbltop100.org), whose mission is improve the quality of legal services provided to individuals, families and businesses in the American legal system.

Delancy is a member of the firm’s bankruptcy practice group where he practices primarily in the area of bankruptcy litigation focusing on Chapter 11 workouts, reorganizations, liquidations and debtor and creditor rights litigation. He was named a Florida Super Lawyer in 2016, Florida Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine in the Bankruptcy & Workout Category for 2013-2014 and a Florida Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2009.

Only the Top 100 Black lawyers from each state who are actively practicing in the select specialty practices are eligible for membership by invitation only. Invitees must demonstrate superior qualifications, leadership skills and results as a legal professional. The selection process for this honor is based on a multi-phase process based upon objective and uniformly applied criteria which includes peer nominations combined with third party research.

Admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, Delancy received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law, and a “Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service” degree from Georgetown University.

Active in the community, Adrian is the president of the board of directors of Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services, Inc., a volunteer position he has held since July 2012. Miami Bridge is the only 24 hour emergency shelter in Miami-Dade County that provides shelter, protection and specialized counseling to abused, abandoned and neglected youth in the greater Miami community.
