Two Attorneys Named to Top 100 Florida and Miami Lists

Miami and Fort Lauderdale, FLJune 28, 2022 Super Lawyers Magazine, a consumer’s guide to the best attorneys, has released its annual Florida Super Lawyers edition recognizing the top five percent of attorneys in Florida. Attorneys from the law firm of Markowitz Ringel Trusty + Hartog have been named Florida Super Lawyers for the past 18 consecutive years. This year’s class includes shareholders Jerry M. Markowitz, Thomas Ringel, Candis D. Trusty, Ross R. Hartog, and partner Adrian C. Delancy.  Jerry M. Markowitz was named to the Top 100 Florida and Top 100 Miami Super Lawyers list. Ross R. Hartog was named to the Top 100 Miami Super Lawyers list. Partners Lian de la Riva and Carly Weiss were selected as ‘Florida Rising Stars.’

Shareholder Ross R. Hartog, a Super Lawyer for 14 consecutive years, concentrates on the representation of trustees, creditors, and debtors in cases proceeding under chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, as well as receivers and assignees for the benefit of creditors. He is a Chapter 7 and 11 Bankruptcy Trustee in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. Partner Adrian C. Delancy, a Super Lawyer for seven consecutive years, focuses his practice on bankruptcy litigation, business liquidations, and reorganizations. He is the former President of the Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services, Inc., a temporary shelter that provides protection and specialized care to youth in crisis. Delancy is a Top Lawyer in the 2022 South Florida Legal Guide and a 2019 DiversityMBA Top 100 Executive Leader under age 50. Partner Lian de la Riva is a member of the firm’s Probate & Guardianship group and concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate, and guardianship law. In September 2021, Lian was elected Chair of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the HNBA for a one-year term. Lian holds a J.D. from Florida International University College of Law and a B.A. from Florida International University.

Carly S. Weiss practices in the firm’s Probate & Guardianship group. Her prior experience includes prosecuting and litigating cases of abuse, abandonment, and neglect involving child welfare. Her experience includes litigating difficult family matters concerning children with matters involving the elderly, incapacitated persons, probate estates, and guardianship issues.
